This study aims to determine the correlation of well-being in older adults with protective factors such as social support, self-esteem, perceived general health status and meaning in life and with risk factors such as depression. Other goals are to identify the perceived needs, ways of coping and sources of support among older adults and to learn the older population's definition of happiness. The conclusions work towards enlightening the future development of a holistic program for the Filipino elderly.
