How To Apply
Check Admission Requirements
  • Applicants must possess an undergraduate degree or an equivalent qualification from a recognised institution.
  • For SUSS graduate programmes that are conducted in the English Language, if your undergraduate degree is not awarded by an English-medium university, or, your undergraduate degree is awarded by an English-medium university but the language of instruction was not English. You must meet the English Language Proficiency Requirement (ELPR) with at least an:

    • IELTS (Academic) score of 6.5
    • TOEFL score of 580 (paper-based) or 85 (internet-based)
    • PTE Academic score of 58
    • C1 Advanced score of 180 (score must be obtained within the last 2 years at point of application)
    • MUET score of a Band 4 (score must be obtained within the last 5 years at point of application)

* For programmes conducted in Chinese, ELPR is not required.

Each e-application must be accompanied by a non-refundable application fee which is payable online only.

  • Singapore Citizen & Permanent Resident - S$60 (subject to prevailing GST)
  • All other applicants - S$100* (subject to prevailing GST)

After Application
  • Shortlisted applicants may be required to undergo one or more interviews and/or take written admission or other evaluation tests as may be prescribed by SUSS.
  • All applications are considered individually on merit, and the offer of admission is dependent on the number of places available in individual programmes.

You will receive notification of your application status via email.

  • For January intake, the notification will be sent out by end November to December.
  • For July intake, by end May to June.

*Admission is solely at the discretion of SUSS and the decision is final and binding. SUSS reserves the right to refuse admission and is not obliged to offer an explanation for the non-admission of unsuccessful candidates.

Receiving an Offer

The Letter of Offer contains important details and clear instructions about what to do next. Please read it carefully to ensure you don’t miss anything. 

There are two types of admission offers you will receive from us: Final Offer or Conditional Offer. Kindly refer to both sections below to understand which type of offer applies to you. 

📌 Important Notes: 

To officially confirm enrolment at SUSS, all students must complete the mandatory verification of their academic documents through either one of the SUSS approved credential verification agencies before their programme starts. So, we strongly encourage you to submit the documents earlier for a smooth start to your studies.  

Final Offer

If you receive a Final Offer, congratulations! This means you have met all academic and admission requirements along with the submission of the Immigration and/or verification documents listed in the table below during the application process.

Conditional Offer

If you receive a Conditional Offer, you will still need to meet all the conditions stated in your offer letter to secure your place in the programme. 

This typically applies to applicants who are in the final term, semester, or trimester of their current course of study and have outstanding educational documents. 

You must ensure: 

  • Successful completion of your current programme 

  • Timely submission of all official degree certificate and final transcript along with the Immigration and/or verification documents listed in the table below to [email protected]

SUSS Approved Credential Verification Agencies

Applicants presenting local or overseas qualifications or degrees are required to obtain an official verification report from one of SUSS’s approved credential verification agencies listed below.

OpenCerts

For students who have not been issued an OpenCerts, please refer to Others > Option 2.

Student to submit the degree certificate in the OpenCerts format for GS Admissions’ verification at the platform.
Degrees obtained within China by Chinese nationals

For qualification obtained from universities in Mainland China, applicant is required to provide the verified reports issued by China Higher Education Student Information and Career Center (CHSI学信网)

The Online Verification Report of Higher Education Qualification Certificate (学历证书) is not acceptable.

The Chinese Service Centre for Scholarly Exchange (CSCSE), an organization affiliated with China's Ministry of Education, provides the verification reports for Chinese nationals who have studied abroad.

It is payable to engage the agency to conduct degree verification.
 
Once completed, student to provide GS Admissions the following:

  • Application number
  • Degree verification reference number

Option 2:

Verification report issued by the University's Registrar Office or Academic Records Office.

Student to request the degree issuing institution to send the verification report to GS Admissions email ([email protected]) directly.

The report should contain the following information:

  • Graduate’s full name (as reflected in the official certificate)
  • Date of birth (in DD-Month-YYYY format)
  • Award title
  • Conferment date
  • A signature from the University's Registrar Office or Academic Records Office
  • Official seal/stamp of the university

 

After Acceptance

Refund Policy

For newly enrolled students, if written notice of withdrawal or deferment is given within 2 weeks of semester commencement, a full refund of the course fees paid will be given. Please note that the miscellaneous fee is non-refundable in the event of withdrawal. No refund will be given for withdrawal or deferment thereafter.

Current students who leave the University after the fee payment deadline for the semester, either through withdrawal on their own accord or termination of candidature by the University, will be liable to pay fees for the entire semester.

To expedite the administrative process, you are strongly encouraged to submit your notice of withdrawal or deferment to the University through the Student Portal (for current students) or to [email protected] (for newly enrolled students).


MyMail Email Account and Access to Student Portal

All students of the University will receive a personalised email account (MyMail) and password for access to the Student Portal. These will be sent to you via email within 7 working days after your fee payment. You may then login to your email and the Student Portal to access a wide range of information, including your class schedule, lecture and tutorial notes.

The University has a policy that requires all registered students to communicate with the University via their personalized MyMail account for verification of the sender’s identity. To ensure prompt follow-up on your case, please correspond with the University via your MyMail account.


Deposit Payment

Successful applicants who have been offered a place in our graduate programme from the July 2024 intake onwards will be required to make a non-refundable deposit of S$2,000 (inclusive of prevailing GST) upon acceptance of the Final Offer (FO) from SUSS.

The deposit will be used to offset the course fees for the first semester’s billing. More details regarding course registration and course payment will be shared in the Acceptance of Offer (AOO) email which will be sent to new students by 15 June or 30 November for the July and January intakes respectively.
