Extending Institutionalization of Service-Learning
The purpose of this presentation is to provide a case study for why and how senior leadership at Ngee Ann Polytechnic decided to make Service-Learning a signature pedagogy of the Polytechnic and to infuse at least one Service-Learning course in every diploma. Evidence will be provided that, in 3 years, the rapid institutionalization of Service-Learning meets virtually all of Furco’s (2002) dimensions for institutionalization at the Quality Building level and achieves many of the dimensions at the Sustained Institutionalization level.Keywords:
