Cognizant of the need for transformative pedagogies to meet the health and social development needs as well as the contextual challenges of implementing service-learning in Philippine higher education, the paper explored how service-learning can be integrated specifically in the allied health profession curriculum of a premier private Catholic University in the Philippines. It sought to understand the enablers and barriers of adopting service-learning in the context of a Philippine occupational therapy education.
