Madrasah - Focused Service-Learning... Promoting Understanding...

The study looks into how selected alumni of a Catholic university in the central Philippines focused their literacy and peace-building activities on Madrasah (schools teaching Arabic and Muslim culture) pupils. Moreover, it explores how their S-L experience with Madrasah schoolchildren have prepared them for their employment in predominantly Muslim countries in the Middle East. It also looks into the S-L impact on their professional life, particularly in their adjustments on culture, practices, work ethic and religious differences in another land.
