Teaching Reflection for Service Learning

One key components in Service Learning is reflection, it functions as a platform between the service and academic content as it helps give new interpretations to events. Challenges in teaching come because of it's metacognitive component that requires introspection. This paper presents a simple framework, to teach students to produce meaningful reflection. Since employing this framework, students' improvements had been evident, with written reflections that are more meaningful and through analytical processes, students' projects, ideas and overall self-growth had improved.
