University-Community Engagement in Taiwan: A Case Study...
Members in the Taiwanese academia are now working in an age of university social responsibility. In recent years, Taiwan’s Ministry of Education and Ministry of Science and Technology have provided luxurious funding to promote university-community engagement projects. However, we have yet to examine critical issues such as the characteristic on-the-ground features of these projects and their social impacts on local communities. This article aims to answer these questions by investigating the university-community engagement projects as implemented in the Wulai area.
