Synopsis

BSE225 An Introduction to Land- and Water-Based Adventure Education introduces the theories, constructs and practices of outdoor adventure education (OAE). Topics include outcomes of OAE, themes of adventure, components of OAE programmes, and experiential instruction. The emphasis is on students applying skills and knowledge to develop land-based and water-based activities for OAE purposes and discern the quality of OAE programmes.
