Synopsis

This course introduces the field of multicultural counselling to students, with the aim of equipping them with the necessary knowledge and skills that are required in the multicultural context. It aims to help students understand the definition of culture, the effects of culture and the important considerations such as counsellor's behaviour during therapy, appropriateness of therapeutic and goals. It also highlights the necessity of continual learning in the light of the growing multicultural Singapore society.
