The course serves to develop skills in group workings, team management and to encourage students to be innovative and “think out-of-the-box”. In order to complete the group design project, students must develop the ability to apply engineering principles to the solution of a practical design problem, using industrial practices in carrying out the design project. Along with the acquisition of innovation and teamwork, each member of the project group will master communication skills in writing and oral form, culminating in the generation of an 8000 word dissertation report and group project oral presentation of the completed work.
