Partnership of Home, School and The Community (幼儿园、社区与家庭合作共育) (ECC315)


ECC315 Partnerships of Home, School and the Community focuses on building home, school, and community partnerships. Through understanding family functions and structures, and theories of home-school partnerships, students will recognise the importance and values of parent involvement in the childcare centres/preschools. The course examines the roles of parents and teachers in home-school partnerships, and the potential barriers of teacher-family partnerships. By exploring the strategies of establishing home-school partnerships and the value of parent education, students will develop effective communication to work with families of diverse backgrounds. These will provide students with the knowledge and skills to address current issues pertaining to the home, school and community.

Presentation Pattern: EVERY JAN
E-Learning: BLENDED - Learning is done MAINLY online using interactive study materials in Canvas. Students receive guidance and support from online instructors via discussion forums and emails. This is supplemented with SOME face-to-face sessions. If the course has an exam component, this will be administered on-campus.
