Synopsis

Logistics is an essential service to support large-scale operations such as National Day Parade, major sports events, military operations, emergency response to crisis situations and humanitarian work which can have major impact on society and the economy. In view of the unique characteristics of such large-scale operations, specialised logistics is required to facilitate the movement of essential supplies, positioning of critical stock and mobilisation of resources. LOG367 Logistics for Large-Scale Operations aims to equip students with insights and understanding of the role of logistics for large-scale operations, drawing reference from applications in the military operations context as well as public events. The course will examine the key challenges and considerations in managing logistics for large-scale operations as well as the impact of technological innovations and sustainable initiatives.
