Synopsis

The ship finance sector is an important maritime service which interacts closely with the maritime industry. LOG333 Shipping Finance Management and Analytics will introduce students to the various roles played by ship financing in influencing decisions ranging from newbuilding, shipping operations, sale and purchase, and managing risks in ship investments. Students will also be exposed to the increasing role of big data analytics in the shipping finance industry. At the end of the course, students will be able to understand the workings of the ship finance sector and appreciate the concerns of shipowners and shipping corporations with regards to their ship financing decisions.
