Synopsis

The objective of OEL101 Overseas Experiential Team-building is to provide students with an overseas platform to cultivate a common SUSS identity, and to develop foundational aptitudes in self-awareness, community mindedness, and environmental consciousness. This is achieved through a combination of e-learning, experiential learning, and on-site training. Through engaging in activities like group performances, community engagements, and wilderness trekking, students would become attuned to the interdependence between the self, community, and physical environment. This would provide a strong foundation for their next few years of education in the use of the sciences in the service of others.
