Synopsis

Adolescents and youths with Special Educational Needs commonly face health and functionalchallenges. They are most likely to have difficulty performing various activities of daily livingwithout help. Many have trouble communicating with and understanding others. Hence, they engageless in school and community activities. Like typically developing adolescents, they face manychallenges associated with the adolescent years. If not properly supported, mental health issues canarise. SPE311 Adolescents and Youth with Special Educational Needs examines the typical needs andchallenges that these adolescents and youth have.
