Synopsis

Financial Planning is essential in ensuring the well-being of individuals at different stages of life.  To ascertain and project financial needs is paramount in starting a sound financial plan; knowing how to make our money work harder is an art and science in satisfying our financial goals. 

This course seeks to inform and equip attendees basic financial literacy knowledge over the areas of planning for retirement, wealth growing and investing, as well as insurance and risk management. This will allow attendees the opportunity and skills to evaluate their financial needs at a basic to intermediate level and intelligently work with their personal financial advisers to implement better structured personal financial plans.

  • Choose the correct type of insurance plans for participant’s needs.

About the Trainer

Mr KennethMr Kenneth Soh

Kenneth has been a Personal Financial Planning lecturer with SUSS since 2008 (then known as UniSIM). He has also taught Investments and Financial Markets for RMIT and the University of Newcastle respectively. Most recently, he has been teaching for SIM Global Education as the module head for Investment. Kenneth also has 20 years experience in the financial planning and personal wealth management industry with insurance companies Prudential Assurance and Manulife Financial, and brokerage firms First Principal Financial and Manulife Financial Advisers.

Kenneth graduated with Distinction from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology in the field of Financial Planning. He also holds a MBA (Finance) from Nottingham University and a MBA (Strategic Wealth Management) with Distinction from the International University.

Application Procedures

Course Fee Concession:

SUSS offers the following CET course fee concessions1:

  • Applicants who are 50 years old and above will enjoy a 10% course fee concession for CET modular courses and short courses.
  • Applicants who are 60 years old and above will enjoy a 20% course fee concession for CET modular courses and short courses.
  • Applicants who are Alumni (Doctoral, Master's or Bachelor's programme) of SUSS will enjoy a 20% course fee concession for CET modular courses and short courses.

Students will enjoy only one of the three categories of concession. The above concessions are applicable to all CET modular courses offered by SUSS unless specified otherwise.
