About the Event

Join us in this exclusive guided Bat Walk tour specially curated for SUSS! You will get to visually see bats at dusk when they emerge from their daytime roosts. However, it’s only a small window when dusk falls and we will no longer be able to see them at night. Therefore, our walk will continue to look for other nocturnal critters, of which some of them are the prey of bats.

There are comfortable, level pathways and boardwalks at the locations. We will not be walking on dirt trails. Participants will get a chance to use the Bat Detector which captures the ultra-sounds given out by the bats and translates them into a level of sound that our human ears can hear.

Guests Participants are strongly encouraged to bring:

• Torchlight
• Poncho/raincoat/umbrella
• Water bottle
• Mosquito repellent

Participants to wear:

• Full-length long pants
• T-shirt or long-sleeved cotton shirt
• Covered shoes

Reminder: Do have an early dinner before coming.

• Event will not run if minimum sign-up is not met.
• Each student can register for a maximum of one guest.
• Student is to present their NRIC/photo ID on event day for verification purposes. Guests who are not accompanied by SUSS student will not be allowed to join the event.
• Please be advised that filming and/or photography will be taking place at this event. If you do not wish to appear in any images, please let the organiser know so that we can take appropriate steps to ensure that you are not included.  The photographs/film will be used by Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS) for publicity purposes. They may also be included in SUSS publications or in SUSS promotional materials and may also be published on the SUSS website and social media channels.

Terms and Conditions

• SUSS reserves the rights to use/publish any photos taken at our events on corporate marketing materials or for publicity purposes.
• Our events are highly subsidised and we have limited capacity. Failure to turn up for an event will deprive a fellow student enjoying the benefit. We greatly appreciate your participation and thank you in advance for joining us.
• Once your registration is confirmed, no cancellation or refund would be allowed.
• Please note that if payment is not received by the due date, registration will be automatically withdrawn.
• SUSS reserves the right to make changes to the event without prior notice.
