Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Tiered-Response Framework - Creating an eco-system of faster response to medical emergencies

This presentation provides an overview of SCDF’s EMS Tiered-Response Framework, and how the response of emergency resources is prioritised in accordance with case severity.  Key aspects of this framework include the introduction of fire appliances to emergency medical response, high-performance CPR, as well as public education efforts to raise public awareness on not calling SCDF for non-emergency cases.

As Principal Ops Policy & Development Officer, LTC Quek Wei Liang deals with operations-related policy matters such as Act amendments, Fire Safety matters, and departmental KPIs.

In addition, LTC Quek is the principal staff officer in charge of driving key development initiatives in the Force, namely the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Tiered-Response Framework, 6th Generation Light Fire Attack Vehicle (LF6G) and Red Rhino Robot (3R).
