Co-organised by SUSS and Singapore Film Society, this year's Singapore Chinese Film Festival (SCFF2021) will feature 45 films including a specially curated Debut Classics segment, and two "live" online panel discussions. Admission to both online panel discussions is FREE! SCFF2021 will feature a mix of physical and online screenings, and English subtitles are provided for almost all of the films.
Opening and Closing Films
The Opening film, Hand Rolled Cigarette, is a crime drama/thriller film directed by first-time Hong Kong director Chan Kin-long, which received seven nominations at the 57th Golden Horse Awards last year.
Closing film ANIMA, directed by scriptwriter-turned-director Cao Jinling in the beautiful mountains of Inner Mongolia, gives us an opportunity to contemplate our relationship with Mother Earth.

新加坡华语电影节是由新跃社科大学和新加坡电影协会联办。今年的电影节将在4月30日至5月9日举行，并将呈现45部影片，包括特别单元“导演第一次”。此外，电影节也将举办两场免费的网上座谈会。本届电影节是以影院和线上双轨的方式进行。
开幕片与闭幕片
今年的开幕片是由林家栋所主演的香港犯罪剧情片《手卷烟》。该片曾获得第57届金马奖七项提名。而本届电影节的闭幕片《莫尔道嘎》则是编剧曹金玲深耕多年的导演处女作，讲述了上世纪90年代，一位伐木工人保护最后一片原始森林的惊心动魄故事。
