The CATTI International exam assesses bilingual and translation competence for general purposes such as customer service, business, foreign language teaching or personal interest.
SUSS has recently renewed its agreement with the CATTI Education & Technology (Beijing) Co Ltd to administer the Chinese Accreditation Test for Translators and Interpreters (CATTI) and CATTI International in Singapore. This collaboration strengthens SUSS’ position as the key training and certification provider in translation and interpretation in Singapore and the region.
The CATTI International (CATTI 国际版, 也称 “国际中文通用翻译能力测试”) is an extension of CATTI (翻译专业资格 (水平）考试), and serves as a preparation for the accreditation examination commissioned by China’s Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security (MHRSS) and administered by the China International Publishing Group (CIPG, 外文局). The CATTI International aims to assess bilingual and translation competence for general purposes such as customer service, business, foreign language teaching or personal interest. Since its launch, more than 30,000 participants took the CATTI International exam.
Despite the pandemic that cancelled many exams including the CATTI, the CATTI International exams continued online as scheduled. On 28 and 29 May 2022, about 7500 candidates around the world attended the CATTI International home-based proctored online exams in three language pairs: Chinese-English, Chinese-Korean and Chinese-Japanese.
