Congratulations to SUSS School of Law students, Sebastian Hoe Wee Kiat, Adele Neo Ping May, Clarice Tan Jia Ying, and Poh Chee Eng on their recent success at the 8th (VIII) Edition of the 2 Temple Gardens (2TG) — Dr. Ram Manohar Lohiva National Law University (RMLNLU) International Mediation Competition. As one of the most prestigious mediation competitions in South Asia, it is the perfect platform for our students to hone their mediation skills and gain valuable experience in mediation and negotiation techniques by observing their fellow competitors. They also gained valuable knowledge on utilising the art and science of mediation to build a safe environment for parties to discuss their concerns candidly.

Team SUSS’ dedication and hard work coupled with the support from SUSS Law Programme Lecturers, Associate Professor Alvin Cheng and Mr Melvin Loh, enabled them to reach the finals and achieve the rank of runner-up mediator! The delighted team shared, “Our journey in the competition while tough, had also been extremely rewarding. We were able to observe the international participants’ diverse styles of mediation and negotiation while honing our craft as mediators by reflecting through feedback provided by our lecturers and the judges.”

Well done, Team SUSS!
