SUSS Convocation 2022: Celebrating Our Graduates’ Resilience and Tenacity

SUSS Convocation 2022 celebrated the resilience and tenacity of a student cohort who had spent much of their education in the throes of COVID-19. Held over three days with a total of nine physical ceremonies, it saw 2,854 graduates marking their milestone achievements.

This year, there was an increase in number of graduate numbers per session in line with the more relaxed Covid-19 Safe Management Measures where we hosted a grand total of 6,785 graduates and their guests. VIPs such as Madam Halimah Yacob, President of Singapore, Mr Chan Chun Sing, Minister for Education, Ms Indranee Rajah, Minister, Prime Minister's Office, Second Minister for Finance and Second Minister for National Development, were amongst those who had graced the ceremonies and celebrated our graduands’ milestones.

Families and friends of our graduands also tuned in to the live-streamed sessions virtually, offering their well-wishes and thoughts.

Professor Cheong Hee Kiat, SUSS President, school Deans, as well as school representatives, took turns to deliver their congratulatory messages to the graduates, followed by a heart-warming moment for them to express their gratitude to their loved ones at the end of the sessions.

This special event also culminated with a special performance of the SUSS song, presented by SUSS student Jayne Lee (violinist) and Gracelyn Tan (singer).

Once again, our heartiest congratulations to the Class of 2022!
