Curtin Perth is Western Australia's largest and most multicultural university campus. Curtin ranks in the top 1% of universities worldwide in the Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU 2021) – a highly respected ranking system that emphasises research performance. In the QS World University Rankings by Subject (QSWUR 2021), Curtin is ranked in the top 50 in the world for four resources related subjects – including second in the world for mineral and mining engineering.

Curtin has a QS Five Stars Plus5 rating – the highest possible for a tertiary education institution. This means Curtin received top ratings for all categories: teaching, research, facilities, employability, internationalisation, inclusiveness and innovation.

In December 2021, SUSS formalised its partnership with Curtin University with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding, with the aim for academic promotions and cultural exchanges.
