Accomplished Collaboration

National Kidney Foundation

The National Kidney Foundation (NKF) is a non-profit voluntary organisation that provides dialysis treatment and rehabilitative care to kidney failure patients at affordable, subsidised rates. It also provides health-screening and public education services.

SUSS’s SR Nathan School of Human Development (NSHD) signed an MOU with the NKF on 26 June 2007. Under this agreement, the NKF will explore providing practicum sites for NSHD students, while NSHD will look into providing the Basic Befrienders’ Course, which may lead to possible credit exemption in its Bachelor of Counselling programme.
