MOU with Beijing International Studies University

Beijing International Studies University (BISU) is a renowned institution of higher education in multiple disciplines, offering courses in literature, tourism management, liberal arts, management, economics, and law, with foreign languages and literature as its areas of focus and tourism management as its specialised discipline. It is an important base in China for the teaching of and research in foreign languages, translation, tourism, and economics and foreign trade. Founded in 1964 with the support of China's late premier Zhou Enlai, BISU was one of the first institutions in China to offer undergraduate education.

SUSS and BISU signed an MOU on 20 July 2016 to establish a framework within which academic and scientific cooperation may develop between both institutions, with a focus on translation and interpretation. The types of cooperation may include the reciprocal exchange of students and faculty; joint research projects; advisory services of an academic, professional or technical nature; and the delivery of lectures by visiting academics.
