Hourvillage is an online social marketplace where members can learn a new skill, receive a service, or simply get an errand done, by exchanging time, instead of money. Community is at the heart of Hourvillage and members can earn credits by giving time to others or volunteering for local organisations.
The Hourvillage platform is available on a mobile application that will be launched in the first half of 2019.
On 1 March 2018, Hourvillage and SUSS signed an MOU to track the level of volunteerism amongst SUSS's staff, students and alumni in alignment with its mission of equipping learners to serve society as part of an all-encompassing lifelong education curriculum. Through this partnership, SUSS can better measure the university’s CSR activities as members of its community find more opportunities to give back to society.
