Let the Children Come: A Discussion on the Challenges and Solutions of Inclusive Preschool
The further progress of the Inclusive Support Programme in Singapore has given more children with developmental needs the opportunities to enter preschool and receive mainstream early childhood education. At the same time, this brings new challenges to Singapore’s early childhood education practitioners who strive to ensure their students’ physical, cognitive, emotional, social, and behavioural growth while considering each child’s unique developmental status and needs.
Using actual cases, the speaker will discuss the modifications that need to be made to course design and class management, and how parents, caregivers, and the community should cooperate.
