Alyson is dedicated to delivering impactful and enduring learning experiences to youth at the Esports Academy. Over the past several years, she has played a pivotal role in shaping SCOGA and the Esports Academy by developing workshop content, diploma modules, and enhancing the skills of trainers. Her approach is rooted in science-backed curriculum design, extensive research and development, and structured trainer development.
As a seasoned curriculum developer, Alyson has harnessed her expertise to craft dynamic and unique educational content. She leverages popular esports titles and game-based learning methodologies to impart essential future-ready skills. Alyson has played a pivotal role in developing and delivering workshops, including the Diploma in Esports and Game Design in collaboration with Informatics Academy, as well as career workshops in partnership with NTUC Learning Hub under the SGUS initiative.
Her influence extends beyond the classroom, where she has taken the lead in organizing numerous large-scale and grassroots esports events, nurturing aspiring gamers and promoting esports in the community. Leveraging her knowledge of sports science, Alyson assisted Singapore’s esports team in the Philippines 2019 Southeast Asian Games as well as Hanoi 2021 Southeast Asian Games, which clinched two medals and four medals respectively.
In addition to her work in the Esports Academy, Alyson has embarked on a new journey, teaching at the University of Stirling under SIM, where she is contributing to the Bachelor of Arts (Honours) Sports Studies and Marketing degree program. Furthermore, she recently shared her insights at Edutech Asia 2022, delivering a compelling presentation titled "Esports: The New Athlete in the Curriculum" to educators and industry professionals. .
