Community Engaged Course (CEC)

Community Engaged Course are approved credit-bearing courses that integrate community engagement into the course design. Students will receive credit units for courses that they have completed satisfactorily.

These courses allow students to fulfil their Community Engagement (CE) experiential graduation requirement, and students are encouraged to apply what they have learnt to continue to serve the community.

Social marketing uses commercial marketing concepts and techniques to influence the behaviour of a specific target audience with the intent of achieving positive societal impact. The course incorporates a combination of in-class activities, discussions, and field observations, allowing students to learn how to apply appropriate social marketing concepts, tools and strategies to adequately address different social issues.

Offered by the Marketing programme in SUSS School of Business, MKT367 is packaged – in partnership with OSL – as a Community Engaged Course. Students can fulfil the CE experiential graduation requirement upon satisfactory completion of this course.
