Youth Expedition Project (YEP) is a Service-Learning programme by the National Youth Council (NYC) for youths aged 15 to 35. At SUSS, students are also encouraged to explore global concerns related to their local service-learning through a Youth Expedition Project (YEP). The YEP should be related to your local service-learning project, either by the social issue, community partner or skill-set required. Students are encouraged to explore YEP collaboration with your local community partner, e.g. organising a combined YEP project together, possibly including local clients.
For more information, you may refer to the YEP Funding and Publicity Guidelines..
Important Information to Note:
- Teams are advised to read the guidelines in YEP Funding and Publicity Guidelines prior to applying for the YEP grant.
- Participation in this programme may be submitted in fulfilment of SUSS Overseas Experience graduation requirements.
- Teams that require assistance from SUSS Office of Service-Learning & Community Engagement (OSLCE) to fine-tune their proposals are encouraged to email the office before the 2-month submission timeline to NYC and factor inadequate time to amend the proposal.
- All projects will need to be endorsed in writing by SUSS of Service-Learning & Community Engagement (OSLCE) before submission to NYC.
You may refer to the YEP grant’s website for the list of updated documents (YEP application form, YEP Proposal Template, YEP Budget Template, etc) required for application.
If you are interested to find out more about leading YEP or have a partner you would like to work with but unsure how to get it started, do contact the Office of Service-Learning. We would be happy to work with you to incubate your idea.
