Getting Off to A Good Start At The 4th SUSS Brand Challenge

Into its fourth edition, this year’s SUSS Brand Challenge briefing session, hosted on 17 June 2022, saw an overwhelming response of over 190 participants from the different polytechnics in Singapore coming together to compete and develop the most viable brand strategy for a leading brand, aligned with SUSS’ emphasis on industry-relevant experience and applied education.

Associate Professor Allan Chia, Dean of SUSS School of Business, kicked off this year’s briefing session with a welcome speech, followed by a Marketing programme introduction by Dr Marcus Lee, Vice Dean of SUSS School of Business and Head of Marketing Programmes. Participants were then treated to a branding workshop by SUSS Marketing faculty, Associate Professor Lau Kong Cheen. An interactive Q&A session was also hosted with senior executives from this year’s three brand sponsors — Benjamin Barker, Bonchon Chicken and Scanteak – to conclude the event.

This year, the Challenge introduces three special awards —  Most Creative Award, Best Insights Award and the Best Team Spirit Award —  with eight teams awaiting to be shortlisted to enter the Final round.

Besides $6,000 worth of prizes up for grabs, members of the finalist teams will be given provisional admission offers to the full-time Bachelor of Science in Marketing with Minor Programme at SUSS.

In mid-August 2022, all the participating teams will submit their brand strategy proposals and shortlisted teams will be selected to pitch their recommendations on 16 September 2022.
